(Philadelphia, PA) – For the seventh year in a row, DJ and Broadcaster John DeBella will host a 12-hour Radiothon to support Philadelphia Veterans Multi-service and Education Center (PVMSEC). The organization has a longstanding reputation of offering educational resources, employment training, job placement, veterans benefits counseling, and permanent/transitional housing placement to local veterans from Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.

The proceeds from the Radiothon have proven to boost education and veteran outreach efforts over the past six years. Spearheading this work, DeBella has not gone unnoticed. Last year, the United States Small Business Association presented DeBella with the "Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year" award.

This year will hold the tradition of prizes for pledging, such as signed guitars and concert tickets complete with meet-and-greet passes, but will also include calls from Phillies' pitcher Cole Hamels, late-night host Jimmy Fallon and rocker Alice Cooper.

A champion of veterans, DeBella understands the experiences of returning from military to civilian life and the importance of the integrative programs offered by PVMSEC. The organization shares his passion, vision and is grateful for his continual involvement. The Executive Director of PVMSEC, Tim Meserve stated "John DeBella is a frontline warrior for our veterans and there are not enough words to relay the impact his support has provided to the 2,500 unique veterans we help annually. When John is involved mountains are moved."

"I am the wife of a Viet Nam Veteran. My husband started going to PVMSEC 10 years ago for help. No mere words could ever express how much his life and in turn our family life has changed for the better in those years. I am and always will be grateful for the wonderful care he has received at the Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service Center & Education Center."
